1978 Simon, Joke and Nigel visit Rye

Dear Reader,
Way back in 1978, Simon, Nigel and Joke get the wild idea of calling in at Rye to say 'hello' to Nanna and Gramps. Simon had his Super 8 movie camera with him, so the visit was recorded for posterity.
In the course of searching for something else (which I never found), I came across the videotape to which these images had been transferred, which had languished in the attic for many years. After a little digital sleight of hand, the data was transferred to a hard disc, a DVD, a computer and YouTube. Here, for your delight and edification is the result:

If you ever wondered whether any or all of the above were one card short of a deck then this magic lantern presentation will, I fear, only confirm your suspicions. We all appear to be off our respective trolleys and totally out of our trees.... for which we can only be very grateful!
